چکیده
From 26.03.06 to 29.03.06, the Dagstuhl Seminar 06131 Peerto-Peer-Systems and -Applications was held in the International Conference and Research Center (IBFI), Schloss Dagstuhl. During the seminar, several participants presented their current research, and ongoing work and open problems were discussed. Abstracts of the presentations given during the seminar as well as abstracts of seminar results and ideas are put together in this paper. The rst section describes the seminar topics and goals in general. Links to extended abstracts or full papers are provided, if available.

متن کاملSummary of the Dagstuhl-Seminar “Scalable Data Management in Evolving Networks”
Network technologies like mobile ad-hoc networks, peer-to-peer systems, and sensor networks are getting increasingly popular, but come up with new challenges to scalable data management because data management techniques developed for fixed-wired networks that usually depend on reliable and stable networks can not directly be used. The goal of this Dagstuhl Seminar was to identify common challe...
متن کاملP2P Network Trust Management Survey
Peer-to-peer applications (P2P) are no longer limited to home users, and start being accepted in academic and corporate environments. While file sharing and instant messaging applications are the most traditional examples, they are no longer the only ones benefiting from the potential advantages of P2P networks. For example, network file storage, data transmission, distributed computing, and co...
متن کاملInformation Retrieval in Peer-to-Peer Systems
Applying information retrieval techniques in peer-to-peer infrastructures is a demanding challenge. Peer-to-peer systems are already being used for a vast number of applications in content exchange, but mostly searching is done by simple keyword lookups. In contrast, information Retrieval techniques vastly differ from retrieval in pure data management systems. Information retrieval means that n...
